Terms & Conditions for LuLu Happiness Mastercard 2025
- The following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to the Campaign and by participating in the Campaign you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
1. Organization, Duration, Eligibility & Entry
- The Campaign is organized to reward selected Mastercard credit card holders ("Eligible Card”) and are also existing Happiness members, during the Campaign Period.
- The validity of the campaign is from 01 October 2025 to 21 October 2025 (both days inclusive), unless extended or revoked without prior notice and without liability to Mastercard or LuLu Hypermarket, at their sole discretion ("Campaign Period”).
- To qualify for the Campaign, selective Mastercard and Lulu customers must make an in-store payment in Eligible Categories during the Campaign Period (“Eligible Transaction”). To be eligible to participate in the Campaign, Participants must:
(i) be of at least 18 (eighteen) years of age at the time of entry; and
(ii) hold a valid passport, UAE identification cards or resident card; and
(iii) be an existing Mastercard cardholder; and
(iv) eligible Happiness member with LuLu
- Participant(s) who meet or exceed the minimum spend amount in the eligible categories during the Campaign Period, as specified in the campaign communication, only shall qualify for the reward. Participant(s) selected with lucky draw after Campaign Period gets over, are eligible to be selected as Winner(s) (“Winners”) for the Campaign. The total number of Winners will be among the customers who have participated in the offer and will be rewarded with a grand prize i.e., a television set. Customers will receive a communication to receive the T.V. set at selected LuLu stores.
- The number of Eligible Transactions that are refunded or unsuccessful (for any reason whatsoever) will not be considered for the determination of an Eligible Participant to qualify as a Winner. Cash withdrawals from ATMs, account transfers, or card top-ups will not be considered as an Eligible Transaction.
- By participating in the Campaign, the entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of Mastercard which are final and binding in all matters related to the Campaign. It is, however, clarified that Cardholders are not bound in any manner to participate in the Campaign and any such participation in the Campaign is voluntary.
- All participating bank employees, contractors, their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, children, and household members), including their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents and any other supplier or third party involved in the development, facilitation or execution of this campaign and their immediate families and dependants SHALL NOT be eligible to participate in this Campaign.
2. Identification of Winners
- Happiness Points will be credited to the cardholder’s Lulu Happiness account within 10 days of the transaction, subject to successful validation of eligible transactions.
- Eligible Participants making successful spends during the Campaign Period will be selected by LuLu as winners using Raffle Draw, following the conclusion of the Campaign.
3. The Campaign Reward
a. The reward of the Campaign is a point which holds a cash value which will be transferred in the form of statement credit by LuLu (“reward”).
b. Points can be redeemed within a year by customers. After a year the points will be invalid to redeem.
c. Participation in the Campaign or meeting the spend targets is no guarantee of the reward.
d. The amount of the cashback is as specified in the campaign communications.
e. The reward in this Campaign is non-assignable, non-transferable, and not exchangeable for other prizes.
4. General Terms of the Promotion
- LuLu Hypermarket has the right, in its absolute discretion, to: (i) disqualify and/or remove any Winner or (ii) not qualify an Eligible Participant as a Winner, based on any suspicion of malpractice or malfeasance by or on behalf of such Eligible Participant. LuLu Hypermarket or Mastercard reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to disqualify without notice, any cardholder or Eligible Participant found to be: violating these Terms and Conditions; tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Campaign; acting in a disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Campaign. Any attempt by an individual to undermine the legitimate operation of this Campaign may be a violation of the applicable criminal and/or civil laws. Should any such attempt be made, LuLu Hypermarket or Mastercard reserves the right to seek remedies, including criminal prosecution, and damages to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- LuLu Hypermarket or Mastercard reserves the right to amend and adjust the Campaign format and timings as they deem fit and shall communicate the same as necessary.
- Although LuLu Hypermarket or Mastercard has made reasonable efforts to ensure that all information and materials relating to the Campaign are accurate, it shall not be liable for any inaccuracy or errors in such information and/or material.
5. Amendment & Termination
- LuLu Hypermarket reserves the right to amend, modify or change these rules at any time during the Promotion and/or to terminate the Promotion entirely, which amendment, modification, termination or change of these rules or the Campaign.
- Termination of the Campaign will occur upon the lapse of the Campaign period or at such earlier or later time as determined by LuLu Hypermarket
6. Privacy & Data Protection
- To facilitate the Campaign and for marketing communications, LuLu Hypermarket may process personal information relating to identified or identifiable natural persons, i.e. personal data, who participate in the Promotion. LuLu Hypermarket will process this personal data in accordance with the company Privacy Policy and in accordance with data protection requirements under the legal act of UAE
- LuLu Hypermarket is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of the personal data collected from the entrants.
- LuLu Hypermarket and its partners shall retain personal data collected from participants only for as long as necessary for the fulfilment of the Campaign and for a period not exceeding 12 months thereafter, unless otherwise required by law.
7. Taxation
Any tax liability arising from participation in the Campaign or the receipt of any monetary reward shall be the sole responsibility of the Winners. LuLu Hypermarket shall not be liable for any taxes, levies, or charges imposed in relation to the reward.
8. Indemnification
By participating in this Campaign, Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless LuLu Hypermarket, its affiliates, and its partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of their participation in the Campaign or any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UAE. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of UAE.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes, claims, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Campaign or these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of the UAE. By participating in the Campaign, all participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE courts and waive any objections to such jurisdiction.
11. Other Terms & Conditions
- All participants further warrant and represent that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound thereby.
- Entrants or Participants of the Campaign are required to keep themselves updated on the terms and conditions of the campaign.
- The rights and remedies herein provided are cumulative and not exclusive of any rights or remedies provided by law.
- The decision of LuLu Hypermarket all matters relating to this Campaign is final.
- If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable in whole or in part, the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the remainder of the affected provisions shall continue to be valid.
